I took this picture in Pilson. There was a house with a long, huge stair case which led to the porch. The stairs were very rickety and slightly slanting.

This is the headlight of a volkswagen which was parked on the side of a road in Pilson. Since it was raining that day, the car seemed to be the brightest object on that street.

The composition of this photo is successful because there is a diagonal shape which creates a leading line, on the right side of the photo. This diagonal brings your eyes into the photo. Then there are radiating lines on the left side of the photo. These lines are of different colors and blend together to make an intricate pattern of lines and color. The swirls of the radiating lines and shapes draws the viewers eyes to the remainder of the photo. Therefore, there is interest throughout this photograph.

The viewpoint from which I shot this photo caused the line of symmetry to be diagonal and therefore creates symmetrical balance. The links of the chain are overlapping each other which helps lead your eye into the photo.

The light is blocked by the scarf and the hand causing the hand to become dark like a shadow with the light coming through in various places.
